Marketing my wee biz in the AI world
Quick update for my lovely regulars, and for anyone thinking about booking. Then I’ll let you get on with your day.
You might start noticing the odd image on my website, or on the wee “flyers” I put out, that looks a bit too polished. A bit too perfect.
That’ll be because it is. Some of the pictures I use for marketing are made with AI, and I’d rather tell you that myself than have anyone wondering.
Why I use them
Honestly? It’s quicker and cheaper.
Every image I’ve used up until now has come from a stock photo library, and every single one of them costs. A few quid here, a few quid there, and it adds up quick when it’s all coming out of your own pocket.
With Gemini or ChatGPT I can make one for nothing. Well, three a day for nothing, and then it starts asking me for money 🙂
Every penny I save on bits like that is a penny I’m not putting onto the price of your tan. That’s the whole reason, there’s nothing more to it than that.
Where you’ll actually see them
Mostly on the website, and on the flyers with my services and prices on them. Backgrounds. Headers. The decoration round the outside of the actual information.
The majority of what I share with you is, and always will be, my clients.
Every client photo I share is 100% real.
No touch ups. No filters. No smoothing, no slimming, no fiddling with the colour to make a tan look better than it was.
If you see one of my lovely ladies on my page, that is exactly how she looked. Because she messaged me, or tagged me, or said yes when I asked, and she was happy for you to see it.
I’d never edit a client photo. Not ever.

You’re booking me because you want to know what you’re actually going to look like.
If I smoothed and filtered every picture, you’d turn up expecting one thing and get another. I’d have a very short career, and I’d deserve it.
The whole point of showing you real tans on real people is so you can see the real thing. Different skin tones. Different shades. Different lighting, because half of them are taken in a hallway on the way out the door.
That’s the good bit. That’s the honest bit.
AI for the wallpaper. Never for the people.
